The Federation of Peoples’ Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC) is a federation of organizations that provide financial and non-financial services to empower marginalized sectors, ensuring the development of stakeholders (people) and the preservation of the environment (planet), while ensuring economic viability and equitable growth (prosperity), in the hope of promoting harmonious coexistence within and among communities (peace).
From a mere program called Central Loan Fund (CLF), under the Philippine Development Assistance Program (PDAP), it has evolved to become a network of affiliate organizations. Throughout the years, FPSDC has forged partnership that transcend mere borrow-creditor relationships by not only providing access to financing, but also supporting member-organizations to become more efficient and effective in their operations through technical training, coaching and facilitating strategic partnerships with other organizations and their initiatives.
FPSDC also encourages member organizations to support advocacies on sustainable agriculture and to engage in activities that take into consideration the 4Ps of sustainable development namely, People, Planet, Prosperity, and Peace.
FPSDC takes the lead in sustainable intervention by extending support for relending activities and sustainable enterprises.
Through financing and entrepreneurship, FPSDC aims to propel and spur a robust economy within communities represented by the industry wheel. FPSDC supports communities in both the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors as represented by images embedded in the wheel. Collaboration, however, is necessary to allow the wheel of progress to continue to turn. Thus, the green laurel leaves in the shape of hands stand for the collective effort of people and communities that FPSDC believes is necessary to achieve sustainable development. The yellow color represents the unwavering hope and optimism of FPSDC in investing in people, planet, prosperity, and peace; while the green color represents the productivity necessary to achieve the vision, the mission, and goals of FPSDC.
