From Farm To Fork: FPSDC Bringing More Than Products To The Table
“The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity.” -Ayn Rand
This quote best describes the path being taken by the Federation of Peoples’ Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC) pertaining to its Marketing and Distribution.
With the entry of free flowing goods brought about by the ASEAN economic integration, the Philippine market is evidently changing day by day, ruled by those who are able and have the power to manipulate the playing field. This environment has become more complicated and difficult for those who remain unequipped to face the ASEAN economic community like the cooperatives and community producers.
FPSDC, having members with either homegrown or community-based products, saw the need to provide technical assistance and marketing services, on top of the usual financial assistance being given to them. By using its local brand name, Farms and Cottages (F&C), FPSDC forged another type of partnership with its members that leads to an opportunity to grow, to change, and expand both their businesses, creating a much stronger and unified Federation — a more competitive FPSDC.
